Public Safety

Although we are currently seeing lower crime rates compared to 2022, Aurora still has one of the highest crime rates in the nation. Through strengthening trust and cooperation between community members and public safety departments, we can effectively identify public safety issues and create comprehensive plans to stop crime at its root. Jon Gray’s approach to bringing civil servants and our community together in Ward 4 differentiates him from other candidates.

Public Health

Poverty, environmental problems, homelessness, and physical and mental health are some of the issues that our community faces daily. Jon’s goal is to work with Arapahoe County, city officials, and private and non-profit organizations to provide supportive services and convenient access to care for all Ward 4 residents. Jon aims to increase residents’ ability to meet basic needs by connecting those in need to a network of community partners with the resources to help improve the city’s level of public health.

Economic Vitality

The rising costs of living burden families throughout Aurora, and many are at risk of eviction or foreclosure. Childcare costs are overwhelming, and households cannot save money due to high costs and low wages (compared to Denver). There are strategies to increase affordable housing and programs that can aid families with the costs of food and childcare. If elected, Jon will work to increase funding to the programs that assist families in feeding their children and work hard to ensure residents who live here also desire to work here.
